on the ubiquity of archetype

In a world seemingly shattering into slivers of seceding splinters, it is heartening indeed to finally recognize a buried treasure: a true archetype. Something that, apparently, unites all cultures, bridges all distances, makes all eras as one. It is Jungian, it is uplifting, it is …

the naughty nurse.

Congrats, eteraz! Did you vote for me in the Best of Blogs like I asked? If so, then I take all credit for your dizzying rise to the top.

Archie, as I said, it’s an archetype, so take a number. Personally, the “naughty male nurse” thing just doesn’t do it for me.

You must have better-looking ones than we have. Every time I read about a serial killer I wait for the words “worked as a male nurse…”
