quiz: what should you be when you grow up?

Yeah, for the sake of the world I hope most people aren’t taking this quiz’s advice. How would you like ME to be your proctologist? Detective, I could almost see, what with me being so nosy and all; while I was in pre-med, I bailed when I realized that, should I fail to get into med school, I’d have to become some run of the mill biologist, and I’m soooo not into that. Mind you, if I could specialize in cryptozoology, that might almost be worth it. Still, with the friends I have, it’s almost as if I already do!

    You Should Be a Mechanic

You are logical, calm, and detail oriented.
You’re rational when things are chaotic, and for you, reason always prevails.
And while you are guided by logic, you aren’t a slave to it.
You’re flexible when it counts. You are always open to being wrong.

    You do best when you:

    - Work with your hands
    - Can use tools, machines, or equipment

You would also be a good architect or carpenter.

Yeah, a mechanic! Just like that Charles Brosnon movie . . . .

You are incredibly creative, spontaneous, and unique.
No one can guess what you’re going to do next, but it’s usually something amazing.
You can’t deal with routine, rules, or structure. You’re easily bored.
As long as you are able to innovate and break the rules, you are extremely successful.

    You do best when you:

    - Can work by yourself
    - Can express your personality in your work

You would also be a good journalist or actor.

I think crossing Chuck Bronson with Pierce Brosnan would improve them both, actually.

    TT, I can see that.

Tells me I should be an artist. Now I’m depressed. All this time wasted being an engineering type. Can I have a do-over please?

I got that as well. Must be a popular result! Still, the validation helps. :)

Nursemyra, if more politicians were like you the world would be a better place.

    CJW, there you go!

It said I should be an artist too. Which is good, since I sort of am one. It also says I’d make a good journalist, and I just got assigned my first two cover stories.

This test is deep…really deep. Heh heh.

    You Should Be A Blogger

    You’re angry, reactive, and self-absorbed.

Your friends all dread starting conversations with you because sooner or later you’ll work around to something you read at “Daily Kos” or “National Review”.
You can’t be restricted, and demand to have your say, if not your way.
But once you’ve shot your bolt, you can calm down enough to focus on the little things, like eating, sleeping, and a job (if any).

Whoa–totally off the mark. I always wanted to be an engineer … Choo-choo!

  13. Posted October 25, 2007 at 11:34 pm | Permalink

No, that’s totally inaccurate. All your conversations work around to “As ….[whatsisname? Kurt Schilling? Isn't he a figure skater?] said…” TOTALLY different.
