Who needs mood lighting when you’ve got one of these? Would go beautifully with the new carpet! I bet that fashionable couple the Nyarlathoteps have one already!

That is a great photograph!

The whole series is pretty fracking awesome, in fact. But I liked this one the best, because it looks like some weird fibreoptic decoration AND yet also disconcertingly intelligent.

Thats remarkable. Could you imagine being the person who was close enough to take this picture?

I think it was taken by a robot camera. The pressure down there is too much for any submarine.
Jul 06, 2008 @ 08:16:00
I think it’s a hat.

Robot or no robot, that is a seriously impressive photograph.
What an odd octopus. Shades of Metroid, actually.

Bunk, of COURSE it’s a hat!
Bobby…Metroid?

Actually, browsing the gallery, they’re all great photos. This is still the weirdest, though.

the octupus is the coolest creature on the planet.
However i will take a submarine to meet this deep sea one.

(the angler fish) :(

Anglerfish are creeeeeeepy. Someone should do a horror movie about anglerfish.
Metroids are cool. Are we entirely sure there are none down there, though?

But it’s not just a regular hat. Looks like a Vancouver hat to me, and I think that I might be the coolest creature on the planet… wait. New lil’ possum just spilled the catfood bowl. He might be cooler.

Not unless he glows in the dark.
