Always learning something new. I was about to comment that the song sounded like a jazzed up paso doble, typically played at bullfights, but when I read that Wiki article I discovered that many paso dobles are actually variants of España Cañi, also known as the Spanish Gypsy Dance, which was written around 1925. Interesting.

I agree. I know she’s most famous for being the Coochie-Coochie girl, but she is and always has been a phenomenal flamenco guitarist, especially live. I would love to see her live someday.

No, really? I didn’t know that. She’s Mexican, and was big in the US in the Seventies, guest starring on Love Boat etc. She looks EXACTLY the same now as she did then; that could well be the same damn wig!
