Beautiful…brings a tear to my eye…and I have barely no claim to being Canadian (one online quiz reckons that I’m 56% Canuck though…which is interesting.
In fact, by lineage, I can approximately claim to be a quarter Canadian…but the genes are heavily diluted. Basically I have two Canadian great Grandad’s, on my mother’s side. So my Mum’s Mum and Dad both have (different) Canadian Dad’s.
And I only found this out AFTER announcing to my Mother my intention of moving to live in Canada for at least a year at some point.
Still hasn’t happened…but I feel like I’m forever preparing myself. I read the whole Julian May Exile/Mileu Cycle twice. And some of that’s about Canucks.
Or something.
