I remember cycling over that bridge every day from the West End to the top of Lonsdale and back when there were no barriers between the narrow sidewalk and the road. Thought nothing of it, though now it’s probably a lot safer.

Actually, it’s only moderately safer. At least now when you look down you can’t see Burrard Inlet through the gaps where the concrete has fallen out.
I certainly admire good photographers. Shame I have zero talent in that regard, but oh well.
