We at the ol’ raincoaster blog have long been known as vigorous advocates of the dispassionate scientific method. So naturally, we cast a deeply skeptical eye over those so-called accurate quizzes that populate the back pages of women’s magazines and the lesser blogosphere. We are not pushovers; we are not fools.
We are, however, apparently Lucy.
You Are Lucy |
![]() You are smart as a whip… maybe a little too smart for your own good! Other people tend to annoy you. You tell it like it is, and you’re not about to spare anyone’s feelings. You’re very blunt. You are assertive to the point of being aggressive. You know what you want, and you’re going to make sure you get it. Deep down, you’re trying to be helpful. You give good advice, even if people don’t want to hear it. You always shoot from the hip. |
It’s quite clear this quiz, unlike most, is scientifically 100% accurate. We feel confident giving this our Scientific Seal of Approval.
Oh my, I am Lucy too. Nearly everybody annoys me and I rarely spare anyone’s feelings. Oh yeah, and I hate womens magazines….
The only difference is that my sign would never say “The doctor is in”. I don’t want people thinking I WANT to help them…
Hmmm, but there’s nothing I love more than an audience who ASKS me to tell them what I think of them.
As Taylor Mali says, “I have a policy about honesty and asskicking, and that is: if you ask for it, then I have to let you have it.”
Lucy here too (no surprise).
Ok, I will concede that sometimes it is nice to be asked, although I always think that the ones who are in need of the biggest asskicking are the least likely to ask for it. That’s when I’m happy to step in unbidden and unleash the boot.
I am Linus. “You are an optimistic and open minded person. You believe that everything will work out in the end. You are very kind and forgiving. You’re always willing to give someone another chance. You are highly creative and innovative. People sometimes just don’t get what you’re doing. You are brainier and smarter than people realize. You are always thinking, plotting, or dreaming.” Draw your own conclusions after reading my loopy blog.
