It’s true.

Well friends, YouTube took down the video that Evening Service and I have worked so hard on. I don’t know what hurts more; being censored because of my message or people making fun of my weight. Hopefully MySpace believes in freedom of expression more than Google does. Maybe China isn’t the only country Google is censoring. ;-)

Oscar Wilde, my hero, was a reformed homosexual. He went to prison for his sins. Once he was alone with his thouhgts, in jail, he saw the errors of his ways and repented. He died as a Christian. While I’m not advocating jailing all Homosexuals, I do think it would benefit them greatly. It would be for their own good. When a person is forced to think they will generally be able to see their problems and solve them by themselves.

Davies‘ band, the aptly-titled “Evening Service” recorded their touching tune “The Bible Says” only today, but after only a brief flowering of press attention YouTube pulled the plug. Right now, it’s up on Evening Service‘s page here (for now). Anybody got a good capture program?

Well, I think it’s Cristal clear that, among a certain crowd, those lyrics would be packing quite a punch. Indeed, the viral spread of this video (#78 on YouTube today) recorded by a raggedy-assed crew at Studio #54 shows that it had really touched the global village, people, and in a very special way.

We shall give the good Reverend the last word; here is his introductory video, still miraculously untouched on YouTube. But it’s only a matter of time before it’s chaste offline.

  18. Such a funny video. Clearly a total fake and with it a brilliant gag. Just like Borat before him, scores of people will be “outraged” and we’ll all sit back and laugh at them until they get the joke. It’s very well done though, so no doubt it will catch many people out. Heck, for a few moments after visiting the lovegodsway.org website I was almost suckered. But Oscar Wilde, reformed homosexual? LOL!!!

    Have you seen? All three of his websites are down. I wish I knew whether to blame that on the fundies or the gays or the sanctimonious PCers. Can’t the world take a joke (don’t answer!)

    DDS, you need to switch meds dude–something less anxiety-producing might be beneficial. However, you might want to look up the “Reverend” Fred Phelps, whose foaming, Texas-brain-worm-inspired lunacy has given rise to the delightful Donny D, the Godhatesfigs site, and God Hates Shrimp.

    Because the unfortunate difference is that Phelps is actually serious. I stumbled onto him purely by accident back when he was announcing to all who would listen that the terror attacks on the World Trade Center were god’s punishment of the “fag-ridden” NYPD.

    The world needs more Donny Davies’ and fewer Phoaming Phreddy Phelps’.

I also feel that Donnie is wrong in his message but feel that he has as much right to voice his opinion as you do to express yours. Its gays like you who give us a bad name.

For the record, DDS is a troll who got smacked down for spewing hatred in the WordPress support forums and now he’s taken my advice: Flamewars are to be conducted in the comments section of blogs, as God intended. That my jokes fly over his head and that he does not realize what an ass he’s making of himself only digs him in deeper.

    Metro, I think God Hates Shrimp predates Phelps…didn’t he steal the idea from them? And it’s well-known that God hates Figs: Just look at the bible, they’ve got all the quotes right there! God so totally hates figs. But he’s just fine with other fruits.

  46. God “hates” fags? Isn’t that like a contradiction of terms? The “Supreme being of good” capable of “HATE” means that the “Supreme of being of evil” must be capable of “compassion”, “sympathy” or even “love” and I think that’s a dangerous belief. The balance between good and evil is as is. They need eachother and to support that God must be who he says he is: “Eternal, unconditional, everlasting … LOVE”. He HATES noone. Maybe the enemy that takes so much from his children,”us”. But it makes no sense that he would “hate” anyone of His own creations. I don’t care what scripture you try to show me. It goes against the very idea who He is and has always claimed to be. I have never thought of Him as a liar and I never will!
