Fresh content, served daily

except when I’m bus sick. Check back for posts tomorrow.

Normally, I love travelling. But it’s not travelling when you don’t have a window seat; it’s shipping. Not so much fun at all.

  1. Seems to me to be a perfect opportunity to convince those around you that you are clinically insane.

Keep rambling on about “judgement cometh” or insisting that “only Trevor knows the password!” while pounding your fists into the seat.

  2. I prefer the very back of the bus with the partial bench seat. It may be closet to the restroom, but it has the most leg room (considering it’s meant for handicapped people). I really hate riding in the other seats. My knees are always damaged for days afterwards. On one trip, I actually logged every single turn the bus made. I put which direction, the road name, and the current time. I did that for the whole trip (Norfolk, VA to Atlanta, GA — with plenty of side stops).

    And… ROFL, kstafford!!!!

  3. But…only Trevor DOES know the password…who told you???

As a person of perfect proportion, my knees are never long enough to knock into anything, and if I sit on the seat at the back of the bus, my feet don’t touch the floor. I just need a window seat to be happy; is that too much to ask?

It seems that whatever bus-borne illness I picked up, it has put me down for the count. Spent most of the last two days in bed. Check back tomorrow?

  4. You didn’t get a window seat? I intend to complain to the company.

They weren’t supposed to let you out of the damn crate!

I mean, why go to the trouble of cutting air holes in the damn thing if they’re only going to pry the lid off?

  5. looks like you may need them buddy from what I read earlier today. Just wanted to say I felt for you in some of the treatment you received on the forums. I want to rush in like the cavalry to help protect you, but then I say to myself…”this is raincoaster – she’d kick your ass, dude….let her handle it as she’d no doubt do a much classier job than you.”

In other words, cooler heads prevail.

Still…you’re like family, rain. I just hate seeing family talked down to like that.

  6. Thanks. I don’t know what’s gotten into the staff lately. That was a totally uncalled-for shot and Andy and I have never had any trouble in the past. They’re guys: how can they all be PMSing? After nearly two years, they should know I don’t just make shit up. If Andy coded the thumbnails to be standard thumbnail size, well there’s a reason it’s the standard. I just posted that reason. I’m only trying to answer questions in the forum. Anybody who’s read the thread on AA Gill or the Mummified Fairy Remains knows I can lay the smackdown on people when I want to, and that OBVIOUSLY wasn’t a raincoaster-style smackdown.

I think the number and nature of the sources I linked to should satisfy any doubters. The Peace Corps was just bonus points.

I just hope they all get over it quickly. This is just ridiculous.
