The Adventures of Action Item

Let us just say this is not the usual raincoaster lifestyle, and that is a very good thing, otherwise the number of mass murders in this city would tend to increase over time in a dramatic, action-orientated, not-for-profit-but-intensely-rewarding-nonetheless GTD out-of-the-box (unless you’re making a reference to Se7en) manner.

  1. Ah, it is all about the meeting you were whining about on Twitter last night. God, I’m glad I’m old and decrepit and don’t have to put up with that shit anymore. I remember the endless meetings where nothing was ever accomplished except to schedule another meeting. Pah!

  2. Yep, at least I was able to suggest, successfully I might add, that the steering committee deal with it there and then, rather than push it back. And it was the first thing they dealt with. Glad I stuck around for it, although it put me a solid half-hour behind for the rest of the day. Won’t get to bed till dawn now.

  3. I now work in an environment where we verb the noun ‘action’, as in “So, you’ll action that then? Great.” I’m still resisting.
