so blogging will be a little erratic. That’s okay, though: I know that if you’re a reader of this blog you’re very into the erratic arts.
FYI you know how the tarmac on runways and taxiways has those rubber tire marks, in big swooping circles and straight lines and some, heart-stopping times, a series of juddering dark grey dots, fading off into the distance? Well there is one spot at YVR where some fellow who has too much time on his hands and a job that pays by the hour has taken it upon himself to apply the creative impulse to tire marks.
He’s made a happy face.
Where for art thou raincoaster?
Do tell :-)
Are you perchance in Blighty?
No, I am perchance in Ottawa. Waking up at 4am my time is very disorienting. Not to mention I’ve got three funerals and a wedding to go to this week.
At least as long as newmania is quoting anonymous and probably imaginary lawyers as sources I don’t have to bother with Boris’ site. Saves tons of time.
Yes I did do a call to arms which worked well for a time but Newmania is very enthusiastic isn’t he? Bless. We must encourage him to get his own blog as I think he would enjoy that – he blogs all over the place so I think his own would be good. I’m enjoying mine and appreciate you popping by.
So sorry to hear you have 3 funerals to go to. I will never forget my friends funeral and miss her still – I hope it’s not the funeral of young friends. Weddings are always fun. I do hope you have a great time there. If you drink Guinness, don’t eat peanuts.
I didn’t drink Guinness. I drank gin and tonic, plus one Alexander Keith’s, which shows I must have been drunk because I don’t drink beer normally.
Funeral tomorrow. My sister’s at the funeral home now, taking “visitation” duty. Because I came from far away, I get a bye today, but will be there tomorrow. After that, we go to scatter my father’s ashes on the base he used to work at, provided my aunt doesn’t turn us in to the MPs for not having a permit. Let’s just say that everything in my family is needlessly melodramatic.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Trust all went as planned. Safe journey home.
Thanks. So far all has gone more or less as planned, except I never planned on a bloody NEVER ENDING TELEVISION SERENADE!!! These people all wonder why I stay up so late; it’s because there’s no way I could sleep with the goddam racket!
Oh yes, they threw in a BONUS funeral on Saturday, but thankfully my plane is taking off before the service. Whew, that was close!
