A 500% (PERCENT!) increase in incarceration rates over the past thirty years. But don’t sweat it. You keep your head down. You focus on your work. You do what you’re told.
You just keep telling yourself everything’s fine. It’s what THEY would want.

When I read that statistic about incarceration last week I almost fell over. The not-so-subtle encroachment of the police state. More people in jail in raw numbers than in China, and they have at least three times more people than the US!
Well, in China they just shoot you, and charge your parents for the bullet. FACT.
