FYI for anyone out there who is going to check the blog over the weekend; there probably won’t be much added here. Not only do I normally try to take the weekend off , but WordPress isn’t working in Internet Explorer right now okay, all fixed now. As well, an old friend is in town and I hope to be away from the keyboard, doing fun things.

Sorry! Officially , there are no, “ no-go”, areas in the UK, but as a hapless lone white person , straying into some areas of some ex mill towns in the NW of England, you would be literally risking life and limb. These incidents are very often dismissed by officialdom as youthful exuberance.
Speak to the victims about exuberance and you would hear about the terror they were subjected to, including all too often, shouts of “ This is Moslem territory”. Keep out.

My neighborhood is about the worst in Canada, but even then the rate of violence is much lower than you’d think to look at it. People confuse us with Detroit, because that’s what they know from tv.
As has been proven over and over, the best way to prevent a religious group from becoming an enemy is not to oppose it, but to co-opt it. By that I mean that people with jobs, houses, and other forms of security become complacent. Cable tv, too; give them a billion channels and they won’t move till they die. Sad but true. Opposition was critical to the rise of Christianity.
