He's told us to expect this particular bolus of an initiative in the Fall, which I do hope is, in his case, allegorical.

Actually, Harper’s lately been musing in the media (or presumably through his paid lobbyists, since he doesn’t speak to us commoners through actual reporters) about bringing about a free vote on the issue, which seems to be just as symbolic a gesture as *’s (* means W, BT*).
All * is trying to do is give his deeply right-wing base a defining issue, now that they’re not as thrilled about doing God’s will unto A-rabs as they used to be. Now he can point at a Democrat and blame them for America’s failure to become even more white and christian.
To quote his alleged favourite book (the one that’s not about a pet goat) “Everything old is new again and there is no new thing under the sun”.
Bringing in a free vote on something they already voted on. And he’ll keep on bringing in this damn vote till we vote the way he wants us to…or in his dreams. Hopefully the LIberals and NDP can get it together long before then and send him back to the cowpat from whence he extruded.
