  1. Raincoaster,

instead of sitting on the fence in the sorry Lebanon affair can you not find in your thick head to try and lessen Lebanese support for Hezbollah. Hezbollah will be the death of Lebanon. Those bunker busters sent to Israel may be intended for Iran as you and I both know. You and I both know the F22 may be intended to destroy Irans air force. The lebanese do not deserve to become a victim in this war. They were doing nicely until Hezbollah got the orders from Iran / Syria to attack Israel.

If Iran get on the receiving end of the war on terror why should that mean the lebanese have to? If Iran do they have only themselves to blame, they made an enemy of out both the USA nd Israel. The Lebanese had pretty much got past hating either the USA or Israel before this kicked off, in fact many were anti-hezbollah.

Plainly and simply they do not deserve it. The West are on their side, the side of there being a mediterrainian democracy in Lebanon, not a terror state!

It’s a shame Israel didn’t manage to slaughter Hezbollah but the evil little terrorist sods hid amongst a load of poor uneducated farming folk!

    Wake up!

    Steve

  2. Steven, what put into your thick head the idea that I support Hezbollah? Go back to Boris’ site and read what I wrote. Without moving your lips this time.

If the West were on Lebanon’s side, why did they ship Israel all those munitions to use against them in this war? When it comes to the crunch, the United States will always support Israel over ANY other country, in ANY war, because the Jewish vote is extremely important to national politics in the US. They would let the entire Middle East burn, rather than endanger that vote; it is just as simple as that.

Lebanon has been attacked and invaded so frequently by Israel that it was inevitable they’d eventually become ripe for a group like Hezbollah. Do I support them? Of course not. But I do not support Israel’s actions, either, and I think that because the state of Israel is supposted to be a nation, not a terrorist group, and because kidnapping two soldiers is worse than bombing civilians after cutting off their escape routes, that Israel has lost any claim to moral high ground. They behaved, in fact, worse than Hezbollah.

  4. It’s necessary groundwork to reduce the outcome of any Hezbollah attack on Israel come the war against Iran. The USA will need Israels support and possibly even to start the war for them. So Israel need to cut off supply roots to Irans only front line with Israel and make sure that Hezbollah get bogged down fighting the French. War is not about being fair, good behaviour or worse behaviour, it is about winning and minimising casulaties on your own side.

Iran and the Ayatollah have refused to suspend uranium enrichment. They are surrounded, the F22 is ready to be deployed, bunker busters are on their way to Israel.

What do you think will be the outcome raincoaster? Sanctions or War?
