I got this from a good source in Washington. Actual footage of Dick Cheney ruining one of the holiest days of the year; there’s a reason they call him the VICE president.

Stolen from Pharyngula who, apparently, stole it from Trey Parker‘s Orgazmo (and we luv us some Trey Parker around these parts…hmmm, right around THOSE parts, actually), here’s some candid footage of how a sweet little old lady deals with a couple of clean-cut Mormon missionaries. Watch and learn.

It seems that plugging a live electrical cord into a hydrogen tank is not the wisest course of action, although why we should expect wise courses of action from the man who makes Gerald Ford look intellectual and Donald Duck look diplomatic is beyond me.
Also, quote of the day!
“I just thought, ‘Oh my goodness!’ So, I started walking faster, and the President walked faster and he got to the cord before I did. I violated all the protocols. I touched the President. I grabbed his arm and I moved him up to the front,” Mulally said. “I wanted the president to make sure he plugged into the electricity, not into the hydrogen This is all off the record, right?”
Airline passengers flying from New York to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Palm Beach, Salt Lake City and San Diego were detained after arrival because of a security breach at the airport from which they’d just left.
Because if there’s one thing we know in a post-9/11 world, it’s that you want to concentrate on the planes that land safely at their destinations.
“We had no specific intelligence indicating the suspect was on board one of the flights,” White said. “But there was the small likelihood that the individual could have gotten on a flight.”
Seriously, you could have stopped after word #5.
Tag, anyway. Release? I dunno: I get off on blogging, but how was it for you?
Despite my noted antipathy towards chain letters, meme-tagging, and all associated nonsense, both the esteemed Juvenal and the self-esteemed Stilletto Girl have tagged me as being a Thogger.
The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).
This is better than it sounds, and really quite brave of them, all things considered.
So I’m a blog that makes you think, eh? Probably one that makes you think Canadians are a group of degenerate, tentacled, squid-souled anarchists, and quite right you are (note that all Canadians who do not fit that description are, in fact, Albertans). I am flattered nonetheless.
Release: In the spirit of Anarchy, I’m passing this tag along to anyone who wants to volunteer for it. I have a rare, refined, and reflective group of readers and feel confident that anyone who would step up for this is both ballsy and thought-provoking.
Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
