Harry Potter naked, coming soon to a theatre near you!

Daniel Radcliffe, skyclad

Provided you live in Manhattan, that is.

Yes, child star (ah, they grow up so fast, don’t they?) Daniel Radcliffe will be bringing his jailbaitalicious skyclad junk to Broadway. To be fair, his performance in Equus was by all accounts quite good, and North America has not yet had the opportunity to get our knickers (if any) in a twist about the fact that the role involves smoking, so it’s not as if this is simple pandering to a continent greedy for wizard-perving. It’s not as if we’ve been deprived, after all.

But raincoaster sources suspect something else. A different, more sordid explanation. We believe that the real reason behind the revival of a somewhat elderly yet not quite classic play is the simple fact that Daniel Radcliffe is an exhibitionistic, pervy sex maniac whose needs could not be met by his own nation of 60,776,238!

And this does indeed take us to our happy place. How much to stage this at The Centre?

The 5th Annual Pivot Christmas Auction

CALL FOR AUCTION DONATIONS!
You are warmly invited to attend the 5th Annual Pivot Christmas Auction on Thursday, November 8, 2007. It’s going to be a great time with some amazing performances, so please mark this date on your calendar! We have some surprises in store this year that you will not want to miss.

You can really help make the Auction a success by donating an auction item, with proceeds to charitable projects benefiting homeless and disenfranchised persons.  We are looking for socially conscious gifts as well as electronics, jewelry and one-of-a-kind items that anyone would love to receive (massages, spa treatments etc). Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year.

Silent auction items generally range in price from $100 to $500.  We are also seeking a select number of higher end items to go to open bidding with an auctioneer.

Examples of items we are seeking include:
– eco-vacation and recreation packages (golf, fishing, mountain biking etc.)
– spa treatments, massage therapy and bodywork
– First Nations artwork
– jewelry, antiques, collectibles
– electronics (MP3 players, digital cameras, personal organizers)
– educational toys
– personal training/yoga session(s)

Thanks for your support!  It makes a big impact on our work.  And we hope you can come, because it’s going to be a very fun event this year!

For more information or to make a donation, please email auction at pivotfoundation dot org or leave a message for Lisa Werring at 604-255-9700 x130.

Thank you for your generosity!
